Coalition volunteers Newt Hardie, Gillian Newberry, and SAFE Homes Director Lynn Hawkins. And trophies! Work began February 2006.
Volunteers continue the work March 2006, with occasional breaks with friends.
By July 2007 much progress was made, especially along the creek as these photographs show. Note the kudzu growth at the end of the creek (left background in the second photograph), which extends back along the right side of the building on the adjacent property.
The larger mass near the adjacent building was attacked using a skid loader. Once the biomass is removed by the skid loader, it is easier to remove whatever remains by hand using smaller tools. October 2006.
