How We Do It

Experiments test possible kudzu elimination or control methods. They take place at a dedicated test site, or at community locations. Once tested, a method becomes one more Coalition tool, and the results are freely offered to anyone.

"How" includes not only methods, but people. Ready and able volunteers are essential. They are encouraged to attend "Kudzu Kollege" to learn correct methods, and they are usually provided with Coalition tools to carry out the work. Contractors are sometimes hired and trained to do work that is beyond Coalition resources.

"Quick Picks" list a sample of important Coalition kudzu control methods. Click on the menu entry Coalition Experiments for a complete list.

This website also helps "spread the word" by offering advice to small-property owners and home owners about removing your kudzu.
