The schedule shown below is primarily for the benefit of regular Coalition volunteers, and it contains references that might not be understood by the general public. However, if you live in the Spartanburg (South Carolina) area you are invited to help us eliminate and control kudzu in our communities. All work locations are in Spartanburg, unless otherwise noted. You can also meet us at the YMCA located on South Pine St. about 15 minutes before a scheduled session to "convoy" to a work site. Contact us for more details.

August 30 Week
  • Thursday, September 2: 7:00 AM, Leave from behind the Y. Drive to Saluda, NC to participate with them from 8:00 - 10:00 AM removing kudzu at their selected site. Paul David and Kudzilla will go to provide more firepower.
  • Thursday, September 2: 7:00 PM - 8:45, Board of Directors meeting in Irwin Room at downtown library.
  • Friday, September 3: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Duncan Park Neighborhood sites at East Park Drive.
  • Friday, September 3: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Highland Neighborhood party at South Forest Ave. and Prince Hall Lane.
  • Saturday, September 4: 10:00 AM, Memorial service for Dr. Gibbs Patton at the Wofford Environmental Sciences building at Glendale Shoals.
September 6 Week
  • Monday, September 6: 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM, Breakfast at Hardee's on East Main Street across from Hillcrest Shopping Mall. Note the change away from Honey Bee's.
  • Tuesday, September 7: 10 - 11 AM, Assist Steve Eargle's class from Spartanburg High as they attack the kudzu across the road in fron t of the school.
  • Thursday, September 9: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Paul David and Kudzilla will attack the kudzu at Glendale Shoals.
  • Friday, September 10: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Off. Labor Day week holiday.
  • Saturday, September 11: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Off. Labor Day week holiday.
September 13 Week

  • Saturday, September 18, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Assist Upsy Daisy Garden Club at the Old Bridge site where Reidville Road crosses South Tyger River.
September 20 Week

September 27 Week

  • Saturday, October 2: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Tentative. Spartanburg Day School begin removing kudzu from Ivy Street creek in converse Heights.
BEYOND
  • To be determined, Use Walt Pettis' DR all day at various sites, starting with Peter's Creek Preserve. Buddy or Howard will provide trailer and haul DR around. Steve Patton will lead and supervise the effort.
  • Date to be determined. Leave from behind the Y at 7 AM. Drive to Charlotte. Provide job site training and tools for Air Force Squadron under Lt. Col. Russell Ponder. Attack kudzu on their base until noon.
